Should I replace my old amalgam fillings?

Amalgam fillings that are in good condition, well-sealed, and not causing any problems do not need to be replaced purely for health reasons. However, amalgam fillings do crack and leak over time, and when they fail, replacement with a tooth-coloured composite or ceramic restoration makes sense. We will tell you honestly which of your existing fillings are fine and which are due for attention.

How many appointments will I need?

That depends entirely on what work is needed. A straightforward filling takes one appointment. A crown takes two. Complex cases involving multiple teeth may require a series of appointments spread over several months.
